Figure out what’s important to you in regards to what a plan manager can bring to the table.
Are you looking for someone who is quite hands on and constantly keeps you in the loop? Or would you prefer a plan manager who works quietly in the background?
How experienced do you want them to be? Consider whether you want a Plan Manager to help you access supports - do you mind if they’re linked to an organisation or would you prefer that they suggest independent providers?
It’s also important to consider their level of customer experience. How important is it to you to be able to quickly and easily chat to your plan manager and have your questions answered?
Do some research
It’s always great to hear about other people’s experiences with a plan manager before you make your decision. It gives you an idea of how they work, what they prioritise and whether they’d suit you!
Reading reviews can also help address any fears or concerns you may have. Engaging the services of a plan manager is a big step, so being confident in your decision is important.
